USAF Pilot Survival Vest: Part 1 Video Clips.
A tour of one version of an actual and current USAF Pilot Survival vest by Nutnfancy. In this four-part series I go about products not classified in the vest and impart a little philosophy, 'as I go. The same mesh is Ultimate Survival Technologies (Survival Air Ace ™ SnapTrack Vest ™) and is a great, functional design. It has multiple pockets that can be configured in a variety of safe places. Note that each element has a "baggied" to protect against moisture andrelated to the mesh for safety. The advantages of this particular vest are the reporting and communication. This jacket shows a base load, which is often provided by GPS devices for the theater, extra ammunition, cold, and other items will be added to the pre-installed. Several improvements on this vest could include: a mid-sized survival knife fixed blade (like the Kabar knife, the Ontario RAT-7 A1 or Fallkniven), better flashlight (like Streamlight TL-2 LED or scorpion), betterMulti-tool (like Leatherman), better water storage devices, the inclusion of trioxane lighters, double pocket magazine for the M9 pistol, Camelbak system and a focus on the entire light weight. However, the expansion of the elements in a jacket USAF as is often limited by lack of command / unit and financing of the military supply system (NSN), which often includes the best and most appropriate response.
